Outdoor Connect

Hey there! LauraBailey (LB) here. I made this site in 2022 to share my love of outdoor adventure, publishing stories about my backpacking and bikepacking travels in Michigan. Then in 2023, my husband Andy and I started Ride With Purpose as a way to combine bike riding through our city with volunteering in our community, Waawiyatanong (Detroit). Now we're looking for ways to help more people see all the beauty our home-state has to offer — from the Great Lakes to the Porcupine Mountains, Sleeping Bear Dunes to Isle Royale, Michigan has it all.

 

Connecting with nature is our passion, though not everyone has the opportunity to adventure and explore outdoors. That’s why we share our knowledge in the form of guided trips and other interactive experiences, striving to expand people’s perception of being outside.
